Use of Prior Exams as Study Aids

The SOA provides copies of prior exams and model solutions as an aid for candidate study. Candidates should be aware that exam syllabi are constantly evolving and therefore not every prior question is relevant for the current exam. Even so, the questions and solutions do provide guidance regarding the type of questions asked and appropriate responses.

In addition, in the fall of 2013 there was a restructuring of the exams. The following table provides the relevant exams by track. Note that in the previous system the FETE exam was used by two tracks.
