Financial and Regulatory Environment (Canada) - Notice

The SOA elected not to offer the Canadian version of the Financial and Regulatory Environment (FRE) exam in 2014 and 2015. One reason was that the CIA had not made a determination regarding acceptance of our exams. While progress has been made, at the time of this writing that determination has not been made. Consequently, at this time the SOA will continue not to offer the Canadian version of FRE in 2016 and beyond until this determination is made. The SOA will continue to waive the FRE-Canada exam for those passing Exam 6C from the CAS.  Note that waivers for all other CAS exams except Online Courses 1 and 2 will expire on December 31, 2015.
